Distance: 46 miles and 2700 feet of elevation gain (barometric)
Both the long and medium routes are the same to lunch today and then the long takes a longer return than the medium. The two routes stay together for the first 36 miles. They start with a trip up to San Dimas Canyon and then ride down to Puddingstone Reservoir. They then ride up a short but somewhat steep hill (the spike at mile 16 on the profile) before riding down Covina Hills Rd. At the bottom we have another climb as we go up and over Grand Ave (the peak at mile 21). Another up and down takes us over Brea Canyon and on to lunch along Diamond Bar Blvd. After lunch the two routes split. This medium takes a fairly direct route northeast back to the start. As you can see by the profile, this return north is mostly a long gradual up-hill.
